SOS from Howard Oh

Dear Ronnie,

I am a frequent visitor of your interesting website, I am keen to know whether you have heard of any runner looking for a partner to run the "wild" category. Please drop me a line if you do.

The organiser is not very clever to create a team category because I am sure a lot of interested participants such as myself will not be able to join due to no partner.

In case anyone is interested to gauge my performance level, I just finished the S'pore Marathon at amediocre time of 4h 11m. Thanks for your help.

Regards, Howard Oh

PM of The Year 2004 Award

Leading Current Standing:
24 pts = Justin Lee @ PM19

18 pts = Tey Eng Tiong @ PM22
16 pts = Ronnie See @ PM1
11 pts = Dr Jamie Pang @ PM5
08 pts = Kenneth Teh @ PM20

05 pts = Chen Keat Hoong @ PM8
03 pts = Vincent Wong @ PM10
03 pts = Jason Lim @ PM23
03 pts = Chin Tuck Meng @ PM24
02 pts = Martin @ Loneruner

02 pts = Hairul Azwar @ PM3
02 pts = Newton Yap @ PM18

(someone from klang vote) I nominate:
1) Jamie Pang aka PM5 - for being an inspiration, and a firestarter, for many of us to not just pick up running, but take it to different levels. I started doing races not just because of Runner's World (and spankin' expensive new shoes), but because of Jamie, in part, as well. And also to connect a few of us online as well as offline on the running pavement.
2) Newton Yap aka PM18/Kenneth Teh aka PM20 - two very inspiring runners who've really improved again and again. So much so that I'm embarrassed to admit even I'm not as driven as they are.

(someone from singapore vote) I nominate:
1) Jamie - For arousing my interest in running when I first started and happened to stumble onto his website. Also for his infectious enthusiasm with running which rub off on me, especially reading the race reports and his countdown to SG marathon.
2) Tey - For being the closest to a superhuman that I've known... 4 marathons in 4 weekends.. my god... friends didn't believe it when I told them abt him and his camera carrying runs... hehe
3) Ronnie - Nuff said, the medals tells everything... :)

(someone from petaling jaya vote) I nominate:
1) first of all i vote myself for becoming pacemaker member.
2) second i vote for pm1 ronnie for his dedication in running.
3) third i vote for pm19 justin for the most improved runner.

Hurry! Hurry! 3 more days left to vote!

Valdor Run Report

Being overweight due to dinners & lunches, I am “out of order” to run fast, that why small events like Valdor run in Seberang Perai is just “ngam-ngam” for my appetite, cool! Being no pressure on the run, 200 plus medal versus 300 plus participant, should be ‘sup-sup’ for PM group right? After 3 miss call by PM13 to ask me to get my BIB, hehe, late again, I still got 10 minute to register, warm up & last bite of my unfinished bread, muak* still fell like vomit.

On the start point, I do a quick survey, cool, not much familiar face, also only a hand full of Indian! Suddenly I got the feeling I can get top 3 & that my aim after the air gun had fire!

Only in 10minute, I have reached the top end of the group, so comfortable, then I just relax run until 25 minute. Although it’s so call cross country run, compare to paya Indah and rawang x-country, this really is a road race to me, that why I have not even have hiccup in the run, some more the villager also cheer for me! Am I wearing number 180? Or am I Chinese??? I start turbo at 26 minute, I ‘sayur’ until a few left and also pay attention to 2 Leopard running club members from penang. They are really hard to cut, well, I just hold my distance as I see no more runner in front, takut lost in Sg Jawi. On 33 minute, I have enough patient & I just turbo until I cannot see anyone in front of me, damn, the nightmare come!

I came near by the school junction & ask for direction, the Marshall one show me right & one show me left direction. HUH?! Is it a cartoon or what? As I give them my ‘want me to F*** U’ eye to then, then only they quickly show a cardboard, ACEFG group left, B & D group right for extra loop! TNS!! What a beauty! Luckily the behind runner is not catching up me, but my heart rate is out of sycn coz the sudden break.

To make thing worst, I have notice 2 runner in front of me… ok, I still in top 3 place, so I not burning to catch them, so I just maintenance my position until end and happily get my finishing number, 46 min for 10k, HUH?! What the F***, no 4??!! Then only I realize a Nepal indian is way above all of us!! TNMCH!!! I just can’t believe small run like this got a Ferrari!! The only felling that is I want to cry, coz my trophy fly away, although I have call up stage to get my red-boxed medal, but hardly can see a smile in my face, only a TNS can’t believe face go back to my wife…

Cilaka betul run… cilaka…

(someone from petaling jaya vote) I nominate:
Thanks for your vote, Jamie and Ron! But personally, my vote is based on the spirit and love that
the following PMs have contributed to the sport, rather than the PRs and performances set, although
you can't totally discount that. They are:-
Tey- for the same reasons as Jamie. Tey, you the man! 4 marathons in 4 weeks! Fantastic! And the best part is, he saved his best time for last! Obviously he wasn't tired.

Ronnie- already a fast runner, but my main reason for voting Ronnie is for loving running so much that he has gone for a world record 36 races this year!!! And, for bringing all of us runners together (PMs and non-PMs alike) in his website. My life is enrichened already with so many new friends!

Jamie- for being a real student and possessing encyclopedic knowledge of the sport, and the ability to balance all aspects of his considerably packed and busy life (father, husband, runner, Doctor, blogger, shoutboxer!). I only hope that I can do as well as you.

Here's to a good 2005..

(someone from petaling jaya vote) I nominate:
1) Vincent Wong, Age not so young, but run so fast,it is not easy to keep concistent, even his different distance race also so encouraging.

3) Justin Lee, Hard work style, same as Ronnie, but his results improve so consistent, only need to try in full lah...hahahaha!!!

(someone from citibank vote) I nominate:
1. PM5 - Jamie Pang, he inspires, encourages and a good role model for runners and non-runners
he is the One that hook quite a few of us up, ken, ajeep, julian, myself and maybe some others
he makes running very very interesting and very every fun.

2. PM20, you should look at his photo before he started running and you would understand y i vote
for this guy he lost 44lbs in 5 months, it takes tremendous effort .

3. PM1, he is a fast bugger but yet humble, giving, pleasant and funny.

(someone from petaling jaya vote) I nominate:
1) PM1 - He is Blardy fast. I tried to catch up with him until my shiet oso wan to come out. But My reason for voting him is his dedication to running. Non Stop wan!!

der_pacemaker # 25

My Name is Sim Boon Haw @ petalingrunner. I am 28yrs of age and currently working as Sales Officer in a manufacturing company. I have started my running since secondary school but was never serious about it even into my college years. I ran a lot and my first ever race was the PJ Half Marathon 1996. I did a 10k and finished position 78 but I never timed it. As I was in overseas year 1997, I did not participate in any race. When I was back in year 1998, I joined the PJ Half 1998, 1999 and 2000 where I took part in the 10K.

I actually stopped running for 2 years from year 2001 onwards due to personal reasons. However, in year 2003, my health got bad and my weight just sky-rocketed. In one night August 2003, I picked up my shoe and ran my first 3K at 9.30pm. I was so out of breath that night I had to walk the remaining 1.5k back home. I continued to run from that day on everynight, everyday without fail.

After 6 to 7 months of training, I was prepared to race and my first one was Penchala Tunnel Fun Run 2004. I just did not time myself but I felt good racing. It was that day that I learned my collegemate Jason he participated in the same run as well. At the same time, I discovered these group of running community named der_pacemaker with ronnie @ pm1 and others as 'members'. There I had learned of the Pacesetters Club as well. I started to train for longer distances and my first 21K was the Seremban half 2004.

Right now, I cannot foresee that i'll stop running no matter how busy. It will only go on until the day I can't run anymore. I am glad to join the PM family and many thanks to pm1 and all whom had linked me to their site. I'll end this with a quote:

"I have met my hero, and he is me." - George Sheehan

Many Thanks.

p.s.: Why the name petalingrunner? Because I was born in PJ laa...

Weekend Funny Reading: LOTR Trilogy - Singapore Style

To celebrate the launch of the 4 disc special edition of Return of the King

So the new Lord of the Rings movie is coming out, and you want to impress some Ah Lian you're trying to buaya by being able to explain the whole complicated plot with all the funny sounding names and words. You want To seem like you've actually read all 3 books, but damn suay even The New Paper is too 'cheem' for you. Neh'mine! Dun scared!
Here is our easy to understand guide to J.R.R. Tolkein's trilogy, written specially in the conversational style of Ah Bengs, so you can memorize:

THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING
Last time got this short-short person with si-beh hairy legs called Bilbo, lor. He, hor, got this ring that last time belong to some monster. But then, hor, one day suay-suay the monster want it back, and send his Kah kiah to Bilbo's house to settle, lah. But the ring, hor, acherly can make people very powderful. But then, hor,if you wear too long will also kena sai. Si beh hiong one, so better faster go and destroy it, lor. So Bilbo's nephew Frodo? Aiyah, dun ask me why their name all so funny, Can or not? You ask me, I ask who? Anyway, Frodo and some peng yew kena arrow to go and destroy the ring. But donno why also, they must do it in the monster's home, which is at the end of New Zealand there.

So they walk and walk and walk across New Zealand, lah. And then along the way, got monster chase them, got people want to hoot them, some of them dieded, all sorts of thing, lah.

At the end, Frodo and Sam, his pooi-pooi friend who I think so is a bit Ah quah, got separated from the rest.

THE TWO TOWERS
Frodo and Sam meet up with this thing called Gollum, who look like he take too much Slim 10 like that.

At the same time, hor, the other friends get into some powderful hooting session, where, wah lau eh, even the trees can do gongfu one. They all fight over what, I also donno, but quite kan cheong, lah.

THE RETURN OF THE KING
In the end, Frodo and his peng yew all win leow, lah. Arbuthen?! But i not sure becoz hoh i still trying to get ah lian to go with me mah. She ah.... very 5354, so for the real end of it - i tell u when i go see with ah lian.

This condensed version of J.R.R. Tolkein's Lord of the Rings trilogy was brought to you courtesy of the Coxford Singlish Dictionary.

Before that I was just a casual jogger. During my school days, I was not good in any sports and I did not have the speed in running. I did not have the strength to run more than 1.5km. I did not run much during my college day. Until one day, I decided to challenge myself to complete in a 10km run. My first run was the Penchala Tunnel Fun Run in June this year. I managed to complete the run in 65 minutes. My worst experience in running was in Ipoh International Run 2004. I participated in the half marathon category for the first time. I did not manage to complete the run as I collapsed at the 19km mark due to muscle cramp on both of my calf. At that time I did not have proper training for the run.

From then onwards, I got to know that my college mate , Petalingrunner, also shares the same interest with me. I was informed that the Pacesetters runners use the Bukit Tunku area as part of the training for the long run. I decided to use the area as my training base since July 2004. From June 2004 until now I have participated in 10 races (3 half marathon, 1 7km run, 6 10km run) with 1 race DNF. I really enjoy running now as it keeps me healthy and fit. One of my goal for running is to complete a full marathon in KLIM 2005.

Since training in Bukit Tunku area I managed to improve my timing. I actually do not have the speed as my aim of running is for fun and to complete a race within a qualifying time. My best timing for half marathon is 2 hr 16 min 20 sec, set in Singapore recently.

Many thanks to the Pacesetters website that links me to other useful running sites like Jamiepang.com, der_paceaker#1, KL Penguins, Pipot.com and others. It helps me in planning my long run and training based on the race report by the runners.

did 5 laps yesterday (tuesday)

2 reasons to pr
- wife wanted to go home early
- pr last week but did not store the timings

so i wanted to proof i can still do it again mah. light jog from office to klcc track. i used to be shy to do jog by the roadside but recently thought that i should n hope to encourage/inspire others. reach klcc park started stretching. ran clockwise.

2nd lap saw kenneth. i think he just finished his run and try to run with me. as i was trying to pr i did not wait for him nor did i look back to check. pls forgive me lah kenneth. last week when trying to pr, tourist ask me to take photo i also did not stop. wah when trying to pr really selfish lah!

3rd lap rohaizad said some encouraging remarks like alrite man

4th lap kenneth said 'hey 7min lap ah?' just nod only, gasping. there were many people at the park, runners and non-runners. almost banged into a fat lady that was not looking where she was going laps.

breakdown
6.57.03
6.46.40
6.57.45
6.56.28
6.54.00
total time 34.31.16

some have been asking me about my recent timing improvements. i m no ronnie or justin but i actually did improve since i started running. this is what i can think of n want to share :-
- build a base, i started running january this year, i guess a bigger base will be even better
- last week i was having a pissed day n it was good to let it out by trying to pr/run hard
- started drinking milk, apparently it helps reduce fat and improve running
- breathing, i guess u have to experiment, for me when i focus on this somehow i feel lighter n last longer
- turn over, i go faster down the slope, i m still experimenting how to improve on this
- let yourself go, sometimes during the run i feel like i m holding myself back, experiment n run at pace n style most natural n relax keeping in mind to go forward as effortlessly some years back i read that many hold themselves back in bed for whatever reasons mmm...i think is time to let go, ahh aah aahhhhhhhhhh
- lean forward, julian shared this with us from the book 'chi running' by doing this it takes less effort to move forward, it works for me, thanks julian
- mental, usually by the 2nd last lap i feel like stopping, this is when i think of:-
- how lucky i m, to be alive, to have 2 legs, to be physically normal and so on n on
- inspiring moments/people anything positive
- !##$%&*(() anything i m angry with.

Looking forward to the more experience runners to have even more to share.

RE: Can AmBank KL International Marathon 2005 copy the success of Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2004?

Hi guys,

Thanks for the email. Some very interesting shots from the Singaporemarathon. I appreciate the suggestions and willingness on your part tooffer assistance to make the AmBank-Kuala Lumpur International Marathon 2005 a success.

Firstly, when the offer was made to give our group naming rights to usif we become lead sponsors, we grabbed it immediately. We now have ourname of the marathon as you can see. We are currently working veryclosely with the FTAAA and DBKL. our credit card guys are also indiscussions with FTAAA and DBKL to ensure some form of on-lineregistration for both local and foreign participants.

A promotional and ground activity/ies programme are being put in placeand it will be a three month campaign. And yes I agree we should get as many participants/runners from both locally and abroad. If we can tap your expertise that would be great. We will call you or FTAAA can contact if they'd like to pursue further any discussions. Meanwhile thank you for the input - certainly appreciateit. Cheers.

KLIM 05 Peer Support Training Program & Meet the New Members Brea kfast on 19th Dec 04.

Hi Everybody,

After two back to back weekends away from Bukit Aman Car-park, I thought Isend this quick note to update on the past/coming activities;

Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon on 5th Dec 04
Our Women and Mixed Team emerged 3rd in a very strong field (total of 46teams in women and 87 teams in mixed)While we did not get rostrum finishing in the individual events with ainternational cast of top runners, Don Khor (42km), Lisa Oon(21km) and ChongYoke Fong (10km) were the top Malaysian finishers in their respective event. A total of close to 200 members (including those on their own) would make usthe largest foreign contingent.

OCM TriSports on 12th Dec 04
We fielded 9 teams in 5 categories, the largest contingent out of 32 teams.We did well with the following placing;

* Champions for Men Senior
* Runners-up and 3rd for Women Open
* 3rd for Men Open
* 3rd for the Women Junior

Our two youth teams did well enough in their categories, despite being ascatch team. I see potential in both youth teams as they were largely under16 competing in under 18 categories. We did well in the runs, OK forbasketball but poorly in the football. Moving forward, if OCM is going tohave this event annually, we need to organize our internal football andbasketball tournaments to identify capable players in these two sports toform a more rounded team to compete with state outfits like the JohoreSports Council, who won 3 of the 5 events.

Can AmBank KL International Marathon 2005 copy the success of Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2004?

Dear Tuan Syed Anuar/ En Ruslan,

I participated in Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2004 www.singaporemarathon.com, that was held last Sunday 5/12/2004 and couldn't help noticing how successful the event was organized, and wondered whether the organisers of KLIM 2005, of which AmBank is title sponsor could do just as well.

Also, I had a chance to chat while walking to race venue with Mr Wan Ywe Leong (the President of Pacesetters Athletics Club Malaysia (PACM)) -of which I am a member, and he shared the same views.

For your kind information, PACM is the largest running club in the country and has the largest members base. Infact, the Club was formed after 1st KLIM in 1984, and has been promoting the race ever since. The Club is organising practice runs (including two 30 km practice runs) sometime in January and February 2005, to prepare runners for KLIM 2005.

Is there any way parties involved could help each other to ensure AmBank KLIM 2005's success, with AmBank achieving its objective in title sponsoring the event and the event reaches its target masses.

PACM has its own website at http://www.pacesetters.com.my/ and among friends we too have own website at http://pm1.blogspot.com/

Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2004 - Race Report

This year Standard Chartered again renewed its commitment as title sponsor of the Singapore Marathon that was held fantastically on Sunday, 5th December 2004. The race has attracted over 14,000 runners, not only from this region, but international athletes from as far as Kenya, Russia, and Belarus and offered total prize money US$140,000. The Kenyans again dominated the full and half-marathon categories by winning both categories. Philip Tanui (younger brother of Moses Tanui who won BOSTON MARATHON in 1998 and 1999) won Men full marathon in better time 2:17:02 and Hellen Cherono won that of Women's in 2:39:37. For official results visit www.singaporemarathon.com.

Runners from Pacesetters Athletics Club Malaysia (PACM) headed by its President, Mr Wan Yew Leong were present by two bus loads and some made their ways via train and private transportations.

The race that included half-marathon and 10km distances, started around the famous Esplanade and ended in front of City Hall. As part of race attractions, an exhibition on sports and fitness was held at Suntec over two days before race day proper. Runners collected their running bibs and ChampionChip which time their run and to be exchanged for finisher medal, at the exhibition. Several exhibitors, promoters and sponsors like New Balance and Polar used the Expo to sell their products. Informative talks that range from mental preparation, nutritional needs and injury preventions by accomplished athletes were being held. There was also opportunity for runners to check their physical fitness and several booths were distributing race forms from marathons as far as Gold Coast Marathon in Australia, Fortis Marathon in Rotterdam, The Netherlands to AmBank Kuala Lumpur International Marathon (KLIM) 2005.

The race course certified by AIM took runners in all categories running along the Shenton Way's Central Business District to Marina South where runners made a u-turn back to Esplanade, but for half-marathoners and full marathoners they continued further to East Coast Park. The runners started their race to the tune "Who lets the dogs out", and was flagged-off in staggered. Distance markers were adequately placed at every kilometer, drinking stations were provided and the cheering team lined up the route.

The race has no official closing time although, traffic resumed after 6 hours after flag-off time. The organizer has categorically stated that they will be there until the last runner cross the finish line. The atmosphere at the finishing area was electrifying and supporters were great.

How To Poison Your Mother-in-Law - A China Story

A long time ago in China, a girl named Li-Li got married and went to live with her husband and mother-in-law. In a very short time, Li-Li found that she couldn't get along with her mother-in-law at all. Their personalities were very different, and Li-Li was angered by many of her mother-in-law's habits. In addition, she criticized Li-Li constantly.

Days passed, and weeks passed. Li-Li and her mother-in-law never stopped arguing and fighting. But what made the situation even worse was that, according to ancient Chinese tradition, Li-Li had to bow to her mother-in-law and obey her every wish. All the anger and unhappiness in the house was causing Li-Li's poor husband great distress. Finally, Li-Li could not stand her mother-in-law's bad temper and dictatorship any longer, and she decided to do something about it.

Li-Li went to see her father's good friend, Mr. Huang, who sold herbs. She told him the situation and asked if he would give her some poison so that she could solve the problem once and for all. Mr.Huang thought for awhile, and finally said, "Li-Li, I will help you solve your problem, but you must listen to me and obey what I tell you." Li-Li said, "Yes, Mr. Huang, I will do whatever you tell me to do." Mr. Huang went into the back room, and returned in a few minutes with a package of herbs. He told Li-Li, "You can't use a quick-acting poison to get rid of your mother-in-law, because that would cause people to become suspicious. Therefore, I have given you a number of herbs that will slowly build up poison in her body. Every other day prepare some delicious meal and put a little of these herbs in her serving. Now, in order to make sure that nobody suspects you when she dies, you must be very careful to act very friendly towards her. Don't argue with her, obey her every wish, and treat her like a queen." Li-Li was so happy. She thanked Mr. Huang and hurried home to start her plot of murdering her mother-in-law.

Weeks went by, and months went by, and every other day, Li-Li served the specially treated food to her > mother-in-law. She remembered what Mr. Huang had said about avoiding suspicion, so she controlled her temper, obeyed her mother-in-law, and treated her like her own mother. After six months had passed, the whole household had changed. Li-Li had practiced controlling her temper so much that she found that she almost never got mad or upset. She hadn't had an argument with her mother-in-law in six months because she now seemed much kinder and easier to get along with. The mother-in-law's attitude toward Li-Li changed, and she began to love Li-Li like her own daughter. She kept telling friends and relatives that Li-Li was the best daughter-in-law one could ever find. Li-Li and her mother-in-law were now treating each other like a real mother and daughter. Li-Li's husband was very happy to see what was happening.

One day, Li-Li came to see Mr. Huang and asked for his help again. She said, "Dear Mr. Huang, please help me to keep the poison from killing my mother-in-law! She's changed into such a nice woman, and I love her like my own mother. I do not want her to die because of the poison I gave her." Mr. Huang smiled and nodded his head. "Li-Li, there's nothing to worry about. I never gave you any poison. The herbs I gave you were vitamins to improve her health. The only poison was in your mind and your attitude toward her, but that has been all washed away by the love which you gave to her."

HAVE YOU REALIZED that how you treat others is exactly how they will treat you? There is a wise Chinese saying: "The person who loves others will also be loved in return." God might be trying to work in another person's life through you.

Bangkok Marathon 2004 - Race Report

If i have a second chance to make decision whether to run 4 marathon in 4 weeks, it is something very very crazy for me, as my marathon level still as normal as others, so you will don't believe i will skip at least one marathon, cause it is too much pressure on my shoulder, even i have to force myself to do final push at final week, that is i did 3 days 20km from saturday to monday. wah will you believe? It is my real situation before depart to Bangkok, so tensionlah....!!

When will reach the old siam plaza, I was so lucky to meet my Taiwan running friends, and introduce to Jenny Lim and others. Offcourse I don't miss chance to take photo with them lah, one of them is already done 109 full marathon, he is Dale Huang, his wife finished 75 full marathon.

We are so careless, didn't realise that Phyllis luggage left without notice, so have to rush back to ask the hawker, so lucky, the owner of the shop contact his friend, so after get back we all rush for dinner, But we so appreciate Thailand peoples are so honest.

Jenny Lim are so worry about tomorrow performance, cause she is too tired after we are try to rush back from hotel to old siam plaza, she have no time to do massage, this really effect her performance lah, cause after the finishing line, she said to me that she is slow at last 3km.

Another surprise is our roommate Low, make noise during sleep, so Jenny also can't tolerence with it, so she wake up complain and ask Phyli is to kick Low, let him know. lucky later no more, after this two case, i still can sleep very good, but Jenny is total kena liao.

Aiya...forgot to tell my room number, guess....hahaha911.............!!!

When we reach the starting point, we still have about one hour, enough time to do bussiness and more important is toke group photo with Taipei runner group.

For the water station, first 30km will be every 2km per water station, and after 30km is every 1.5km per one water station. The sport drink is at 16km, 22km and 28km only, and we met the 10km runner at 27km. organiser also provide a toilet bus at 22km, the st john people also provide two cotton with crampoil, it is good for me to relief the pain feeling, espeicially I use every chance to collect the ice from water station, i use it on every one km, so my feeling was so dam good, but i don't cramp at this time, it is most important ,cause I want to trywhether I can finish without stop or walking, sure if Ican do it ,I will more chance to break 4 hrstarget, sure it is not far away from me...

My bangkok marathon journey is start from a first 28km highway, we return from 15km mark, the weather at this early morning is cool, i am feel thirsty at 4km mark, so i am so worry, but lucky this feeling no more after 20km. cause my body is warm enough liao. I control my pace to below 7 minutes per km, and also every water station take one cup of ice. it is use for my muscle over tire. nearly cramp, so ice is very importance for me as a normal runner.

After reach 30km, i forgot to take my power gel, i realise at 33km, so quickly toke out and eat, worry hungry will effect my last few km.

Tough it is boring at highway, cause no crowd to support you, or see you running at 6am, sunrise almost all came out liao. so sky is so beautifull, red colour and reach one one fly over like Penang bridge style, but i intend to toke photo, only the crowd is not allow me, cause at 27km mark, we met with 10km participant.

When i reach 28km, it should have isotonic drink, butcan't share with so many 10km runner. so i decide to take my own isotonic drink. Full marathon and 10km runner break at about 28.5km mark. so the real challenge just restart, cause now we felt that heat. but lucky for me, no problem lah. i toke out my camera out hang on my neck. toke photo at about 10 minutes. so continue the route, I am surprise so many ppl stand roadside, then after turn left, finishing is about 400 meters. i am so happy manage to achieve target within 5hrs. Hope to have good run and relax run at Singapore marathon.

My pace timing - 2km (16m51s), 4km (25m32s), 6km (37m43s), 8km (50m29s), 10km (1h02m55s), 12km (1h15m50s), 14km (1h28m29s), 16km (1h40m57s), 18km (1h54m02s), 20km (2h06m34s), 22km(2h20m13s), 24km (2h33m42s), 26km (2h47m43s), 28km (3h05m47s), 30km (3h15m35s), 31.5km (3h25m56s), 33km (3h37m16s), 34.5km (3h45m07s), 36km (4h01m06s), 37.5km (4h14m48s), 39km(4h29m49s), 40.5km (4h44m59s), 42.195km (4h51m59s)
