NYR Update - 3 more days to go...
I feel very sorry for those who want to take part der NYR, entries have closed since last month. Oversubscribed lah! So much so I think if Pacemaker goes for a Second Board listing, our shares will also be oversubscribe! I'm still receiving many phone calls and emails. Sorry to turn latecomers down but there's a reason for closing date. Got so many things to plan wan you know. This lah, that lah. Thinking about it also make me want to lau sai liao.
As you know, trophies take 1 month to deliver. If last minute you jump queue, is not fair for others too. Unless got somebody pull out without paying, then only we will quickly find replacement. But so far, everyone has paid up. So for others, sorry for the inconvenience caused. Waiting list also not accepted liao.
Final Reminder!

No Pain No Gain, & Respect der Distance...
My 1st ever 30km Run under Coach Chan
U know hor, my last 30km run was on 13th feb 2005 under der PACM 30km pratice run wit der time of 2hrs 35mins 10.95sec wit gut n cooling condition. Yday was my 2nd want, wit bad n hot like babique condition. Waulaheh, really must respect der distance lah. Is not easy to run 2hrs plus non stop u know. When running der long distance hor, timing is not dat really important. Der most important is to complete it. Thank god I manage to finish it under 5 mins pace.
To be honest hor, after der 3rd loops of der lake, I oredi feel like dead fish liao. My mind keep thinking of giving up, coz my leg feel so tired n boring liao keep rounding der loops. If i wasnt sign up der Great Eastern 30km Run, i wont torture myself like this. I feel like want to runtuh liao. Kanasai!!
After complete my run, I couldnt walk properly at all. Leg like sotong bakar, so tired to walk back to der car park lah. How i wish someone will drive me there.
Tomoro i wont go to track, I heard there will be another time trial. Gulp! I need to rest. Will resume back to training on wed at KLCC, thurs only go track lah. For der timing, I want to reduce my speed work, coz I want to train more endurance lah. 30km no play play lor, must respect der distance ok!
Today course split time:
11.0km > 52'48.08
08.5km > 41'56.97 = 1' 34.45s
02.3km > 11'40.72 = 1' 46.25s
02.3km > 11'36.47 = 1' 58.02s
02.3km > 11'35.68 = 2' 09.37s
02.3km > 11'34.43 = 2' 21.12s
02.3km > 11'05.29 = 2' 32.17s
Total Distance Cover = 31.0 km!! (shoe: NB901)
Average pace per km = 4'55 per km!!
Hmm, got another 11km to reach 42km. If I can sustain der 11km within der 1 hour, sure can hit 3'30 in marathon want. Hahahaha, fat mong lah you %$#@%^&!! dream on lah!!

Der 1st Nor Liap Sua (Double Hill) 11km was ok wit me, but der 2nd 8km was tough due to my leg muscle sore. But wit der spirit of PIA, I still carry on.
After finish der 8.5km I wanted to stop liao, coz my berak face oredi kenot tahan liao somore so hot hot. but I need to guide Richard der route, so I hang on for der 1 loop. Then only i pensan.
My previous PR's course split time:
11.0km > 53'53.00
08.5km > 42'01.14 = 1' 35.54s

Open Letter to the Shoutbox Guest
We've recently observed the distressing trend of vulgarity used by yourself in the Shoutbox. Jibes and jokes are generally tolerated in the spirit of good-naturedness but your postings have been utterly nonsensical and profane. We'd like this to stop.
Please bear in mind that the Shoutbox serves not only yourself but other observing guests where sensitivities are respected. Whilst acknowledging that the Internet is a public domain, there are still boundaries to the sort of language tolerated. Even though you go by the anonymity of Guest, bear in mind that your true identity is not the best kept secret on this website.
Everyone who is a regular here knows fully well who you are and how you look like. If it's your intention to shamelessly continue with your rantings, it only reflects on your intelligence, or lack of it.
To that effect we strongly urge that you, the Guest in the Shoutbox, to behave decently. If you're unable to keep to this simple protocol, we urge you to stop using the Shoutbox. We are all runners and we don't like you to present a bad and inaccurate picture of us.

Mizuno Wave Run 2005
Arghhh!!! I came so close to beat Sean Quah & Hayley Holle, der most triller part was at der last hill located at der back of Istana. I manage to catch up Hayley at der hill part, & Sean Quah was ahead of us by 25m nia. Sean Quah was der wan who hv der most pressure among us, coz he was leading thruout der whole race. I can see Sean Quah keep watchinh me hehehehe....
Experience Kill It All...
I wanted to follow Hayley pace, but she make a quick move. B4 going down hill, she oredi make a quick breakaway. I try very hard to chase her back, but is oredi too late liao. She oredi turbo like Ferrari, & Sean oso kena potong by her.
So close but yet so far...
After coming down from Tugu Negara trafik light, i go all out wit full force to chase Sean Quah. Eventho i know is impossible to beat him, but i never give until der finishing line. In d end, i lost. But I'm very happy, coz i lost to a good runner. Muahahahahah....

MY 2005 ALBUM FRAME OF DER YEAR

Der_Pacemaker # 24 @ Aiman Cheah Tiong Chap
Dear Pacemakers
Please note that Chin Tuck Meng (pm24) is no longer a member of the network as he has decided to join the Penguin running group instead. In view of this, we would like to warmly welcome Aiman Cheah who would be taking the place of pm24...
Hello to everyone,
My name is Aiman Cheah Tiong Chap. I am 38 years old. Married in Dec 2003 and blessed with a daughter in Oct 2004. I am staying in Taman Sri Lempah, Old Klang Road.
My first road race was the PJ Half Marathon in 1985. My position was 1016. I could not remember the timing but I guess it was close to 21/2 hours because I was walking for about 2km towards the end of the race.
I have a strong interest in sports although I am not an outstanding sportsman. I represented my Sports House in the 1500m event in 1986 and finished 4th. That was the only time I had the opportunity to represent my house at school level.
When I studied at Lembah Pantai Teachers’ Training College, I took part in a few road races but later became a technical official with FTAAA.
After graduated, I was posted to Miri, Sarawak. My colleagues found out that I was quite a good sprinter and I became a member of their team and took part in a few 4 X 100m invitational events where our team always finished first or second.
When I continued with my B.Ed TESL in UM, a classmate asked me to accompany him in some races when we were in the final year. One of the races was the PJ Half Marathon in 1998. However, I only took part in the 10km event. I surprised myself by getting the certificate of participation, being number 73rd.
In the same year, I took part in the Malay Mail Big Walk for the first time. It was the 10km event. I was so slow yet I was disqualified by the official alleging that I ran when going downhill. I knew I did not. He was quite a young official so I guess he was not experienced enough. My friend persuaded me to take part in the event the following year. I reluctantly did to accompany him and I managed to improve. That had motivated me and I attended the walking clinic the following year.
From 2000 onwards, I was able to challenge other participants for the medal in the 20km event. I finished 15th this year and 17th last year. However, I consider my best performance in walking event is the 2nd Penang International 12-Hour Walk this year where I finished 7th with a distance of 74.382km
I am glad that my wife is supportive and my daughter does not complain having to wake up early on a Sunday to accompany me for the races. Some of my good results are:
PJ Half Marathon 2001 – Number 87th – 1hr 37 mins 25 secs
Nike Pacesetters 15km 2004 – Number 48th – 1hr 12 mins 52 secs
Besides running, I also enjoy playing badminton, squash and swimming. I also hold a 2nd Dan Taekwondo Black Belt for both ITF and WTF.
My other interest is photography and nature activities.

After minus off the usual elite, like Arul, KanNeeSon, Shairul polisman… no way can slip more than 25, except fall down or what so ever…
Thanks to Aiman, I have 8 coupons for lucky draw in my hand, what should I do? Write once my BIB and keep remains? COME ON! Not my style, I write all coupons my BIB, I walk round and round pass the coupon to the official whenever I see her chat, that time, she will not look at you.
The race started late, some more route change, but since so little runner as boys, men and men senior in 11k, I able to stand next to Arul and Shairul (not sure this police man name). The rest is just usual robot run until I saw the Malay guys who get #11 in 21k Seremban, find the pacer lioa, I run energetic as people give me support, should be lah, just 1 yellow pig in the cloud of dark… I even slaughter 2 Indian when follow my pacer but suffer a muscle sore cause this fella run really fast until I was give up and just maintain my position in last 2k.
So surprise I see my number in finishing line, #9, phew that mean got money lah! Hohoho! So quickly get the only drink from the Milo van and go take bath. Less than an hour the rm25 is in my pocket already. Now, the crucial time, wait for lucky draw or jao? While puzzle on this, the lucky draw start, so efficient. I was attracted by the big box of chocolate in hamper, yummy yummy, that motivates me stuck in ground.
I surely hope my number will call as I have 8 coupon in the box, damn 7 out of 17 hamper gone… then woohoo, my number call, quickly hop to stage & get the chocolate, I mean hamper from organizer, wakakka, so heavy…
After I settle hamper in car, I uncertain want to start the engine or wait as all my primary mission has accomplish, I heard C3002 in the air, I pause, then they calling twice… what the heck I hop in again the stage and get the hotel buffet voucher from organizer and quickly fly back to car & accelerate to full power to fly away from NS padang. If I wait for the 3rd draw, I sure will rifle down by the group of poor people still under the sun for the draw. Do not be so greedy, else seremban will be famous apart from grill grab, the roast pig!
So many prize in 1 race, my first time ever, so I go Tampin eat German roast pig leg for celebration, what a trip, but have to cancel Semenyih fish loading as the car wheel look almost flat… too heavy after all the food, hehehe…

Singapore Marathon Fever Part II - rock der PM's
Singapore Marathon Fever!!
I spotted Jason, PM 23 struggling his last 100 meter, gasping for breath like fish out of water. I watched anxiously (insert crossed fingers here) while the DJ counted down the final minute to sub-6. With sheer determination, Jason made a spectacular dash to the finish line despite looking like he was going to fall down anytime. He made it! Phew…that was very close. A sub-6 marathon for PM23. Congratulation!!
Caption for Pic 1: Running pass the port-a-johns make me wanna pang sai liao….
Caption for Pic 2: One more minute for sub-6, pia kau kau lat…hooh hah hooh hah!
