der 18th lapper...
-The sun bean managed to blaze thru your skin and tear if off on 10 minute pass 11AM.
-Bird sound irritating you, car sound make you mad!
-The wind is like a hair dryer blow.
-You can see objects in front move like a wave cause by water is moving up.
-Your inner head is pain and the hair can cook eggs.
-You ask your legs to accelerate, they do the decelerate for you
-You are all alone and you ask yourself, "Why I do this round?"
Finally it ends... in the painful way... 18 round of 2.3... 41.4 K in 3 hr 58 minute, with 11 minute in last round. When you get #3, with medal, Nike T, thermo, and a Nike Calendar... I have my answer why I do the 18th laps...

How to run 14 round in lake garden
1st you sit on the car until the start time and slowly walk to start point to see the flag off, but find out that it’s delay 20 minute with your eye wide open wide.
2nd you hope Captain throw the number into longkang, but end up his secretary fly to collect it from counter, pin it in seconds for you with your eye and mouth open wide.
3rd organizer friendly remind again 1 by 1 to register at start point.
4th you go toilet and sing a complete song of “Beat it” and still find out your stand point is not taken by others with your head shake unbelievable.
5th you can sit on organizer chair to wait 4 gun start; feel like Tun or Tan Sri…
6th They read your timing at every loop you do, some time they say “well done”, “are you ok?” “do you want to rest?” “you want sponge?” “you need extra drink, ices?” sigh* really make you malu to stop…
7th last minute they encourage you do go last loop as fast as you can so that it will be counted…
I end up running 14 round 2.3K in lake garden under BBQ condition… 7.20am 10.20am…

FTAAA Circuit Running II on 6th Feb 2005
After talk talk dis n talk talk that, finally everything settle liao, 7:20am bang! (mean get ready to suffer!)
The 1st lap was too damn fast for me, guess i'm too nervous lah. 2nd n 3rd laps was ok liao wif PM19 pacing together wif me. Pace back to normal lah. Sudenlly PM19 want to pansai, then i hv to run at my own risk. That time my position was at #5. The only way to make me go stronger, is to potong sayur the 4th position runner. Which was 100m ahead of me.
After the 4th laps, gua really beh tahan lah! Need to drink water liao! Coz the sun was so blardy hot! Gua hv to squeeze the damn span on top of my kapala to cool me down for every water station i pass thru.
Finally after the 6th laps, gua manage to potong sayur the 4th placing runner. 1 more placing to get into top 3. But it impossible lah, coz the 3rd placing runner was a speedy gonzalez runner. So i only mantain my 4th placing tight tight lah. By the time i reach the 8 lapper, my time was 1h 24m 28s. Wif 5m 32s left to finish. Its impossible to finish 9 laps below 1h 30m, but i'll still go all out to finish my 9 laps. Alto the 9 laps was not calculated in the check point. Sad.. sad.. sad..
Here are my split time for every 2.3km
--------------------------------------------
(02.3km) 10m 16.05s

My Elusive Below 1hr PR
Sometimes good advise is hard to come by and in this particular case,it did work for me. It was Tuesday, 1st Feb (city day) and since itwas a public holiday, I spent some time over at my wife's spa (locatedbehind Yow Chuan Plaza. 41 Jalan Damai) and brought along my gear torun @ KLCC in the evening. I thought that would be a good day to runcoz there won't be many around and I can 'secretly' train. I ran butencountered some problems and took breaks and of all people I metRonnie (PM1) and Mrs. PM1. I was caught in the act of 'secrettraining'. SHIT! KNN! cover blown. I told him my problem and he toldme do some stretches but it did not help either. Anyway, I continuedrunning and finished 8 laps and did some stretching. Ronnie hadfinished his run and joined my. During this time was when Ronnie toldme that in order to improve, I should do some speed work, errr likethe best of 5 laps.
Well, the thought was lingering and bugging me da whole week. I ranyesterday but I was too damn hot. IT WAS BRUTAL! I was drenched withsweat and worst still, my inner thighs (below lampah chee area) chafedbadly.
Today was different. I wanted to run but the weather looked like itwas gonna rain. I told myself "screw it, no matter what you must run".I changed, applied Bodyglide on my 'injured' area and hit da park. Istarted off smooth and felt stronger as I went along and I thought tomyself, "why not tekan a abit". Well, the results speaks for itself. Its been a while since I ran so hard but I'm happy to see the results.Ronnie, thanx for that little push which had great results.
Timing
Lap 1 = 7:49.67
Lap 2 = 7:53.12
Lap 3 = 7:39.65
Lap 4 = 7:21.76
Lap 5 = 6:58.98
Lap 6 = 6:58.87
Lap 7 = 7:02.09
Lap 8 = 6:48.85
Total = 58:32.99
p.s. The funny thing was, I wore the same attire (head to toe) as Idid when I PR-ed in S'pore.

Sin Chia, Sin Ay, Sin PR! n Cinya Beh Tahan!
For every 3 laps they run, they will hv to stop for water station. Due to the hot weather lah. As for NB900, he really the beh tahan liao! Hv to wash his eye, too painful bcoz of the salty sweat fall from the head! n for Zoom Miler, he hv to take a shower n cool down himself. Then they continue the journey again..
After 6 laps, water station again. This time NB900 drank as much water as he could, n Zoom Miler even more shower! (the only missing is the soap) :p
Finally last water stop! 9 laps, Zoom Miler oredi lying flat on the ground. n NB900 is speechless! Once finish thier drink, turbo all the way out! n Record is broken again...

PM18 aka Der_Milkman already thrashed his Mizuno Maverick liao. So hor, he's in desperate need of a pair of replacement. Some more so difficult to buy Mizuno. Adidas also so expensive. Asics also kau lat see pek TNS KNN expensive. So have to settle for NB loh - model 765 like Julian Der_Sax Player one. Not to say NB is inferior OK?!
Raining on 31st Jan but still have to run mah. He went and hentam 10 laps and got a PR loh! Check out the timing below.
He said he can go faster some more but one step at a time lah! You mark his words. Every week, he will be asking me to update his PR one.
Total time: 1:14.42
Lap Average: 7:28
Note: The title means "New Year, New Shoe, New PR" in Hokkien dialect
