Relay For Life KL 2008

Relay For Life KL 2008 will be held on 31st May-1st June, the weekend of World No Tobacco Day and International Cancer Survivor's Day, at the MSN Training Stadium, Bukit Jalil. We celebrate the advances in cancer, knowing that more cancers are being prevented and for those with cancer, more lives are being saved. We remember the loved ones lost and vow to fight back to make a difference in the lives of the future generation.

KENYANS RUNNERS BEATEN BY INDIANS AT PD 21KM !!!

Got the news few days ago by Jeremy who manages some Kenyans, confirmed today by one of my Kenyan's friend that two Kenyan runners (1 man & 1 lady) have been beaten during the race last sunday at PD 21K by some indians waiting for them on the road side. They reported to police but nothing. My friend told me also that Muniandy was picked up by a white car during the race and let few kilometers before the finish to be position 2. Even with a car can't beat the Kenyan. But normally he can't beat none of them. For Pacesetters 15k, his "managers" asked Richard to ask the Kenyans to let him win coz New Balance is his sponsor.

For Kuantan beach run, the organizer decided this week not to let foreigners to run except the one who have working permit. Last week, it was ok and now no. I guess the same person who complained at Orange run, who organized to beat the Kenyan, who pushed last year the organizer in Langkawi at the last minute not to let the Kenyans to run is behind that again, like that his runner can win international & Malaysian prizes on sunday. When i read the Kuantan form introduction "Kuantan beach run is anticipated by local and international runners from all over the world..." bullshit. Why do they put International prize if they can't run the race?

The 2 Kenyans beaten are now scared to run in Malaysia. I ran in many countries but it's the 1st time i see that. In Europe, we have between 500 & 800 Kenyans who run the races n never things like that happen. And we have also Ethiopians, Moroccans, Russians...

I think these guys should be prohibited to participate to the race after what happened in PD.

adidas King of the Road 2008

The adidas king of the Road 2008 will now be held in Shah Alam on the 10th August 2008 and it will be a 22.7 km ran & will incorporate 10km, 7km & 5km.

Entry forms will be out by the end of this month. Pls help me to push off this info to your other friends.

Our plan to organize the event for the second on the NPE encountered similar fate as the Penang International Marathon.

Anyway, after Sip Kow Cham Tau Lam Cheng Chor (english mean after a hard hard thinking) Me and der gang decided to head for Ekiden Run. Anyone who does have a teammates or gang, you are welcome to join us der Pacemakers for a team. All runners required to do time trail, so we have a fair draw on which team to place you. So there will be no world war 3, 4, 5 and watever lah. Plan to have 2 Mixed Team & 2 Open Team. Garenty FINISHER MEDAL wan!!

For those who haven been to Metropolitan park, this is der best opportunity. Coz I dont want U all to kelam kabut on der actual date, once U have over shoot it. U need to make a very big u-turn. Sumore this is not ur individual run, is a team event. Ur absent or late might cause ur team to panic or disappointed. So let not make this thing happen ok, ur co-operation is much appreciate it.

Today is my last day at GTD after 4 years n 3 month, finally decided to make a move to a better place liao (I hope so lah). However my working time a bit change liao, from 9am - 6pm, previously was 9am to 5.30pm. So I hope der Lake Garden Gang can wait for me n train together ya, kam siah banyak banyak. Other are oso welcome to join us for training at LG, every tues to thurs 6.25pm. Earthquake victim died after being rescued

This 26 year old man's name is Chen Jian. He was buried under three concrete slabs for 73 hours before he was found. He told the reporter that he wants to live because his wife is pregnant and he doesn't want his child born without the father. After 6 hours of hardwork, he was pulled out from the rubble, only to die shortly after.

For those who don't know der way to RMAF starting point, can meet us at Bukit Aman car park toilet 5am. We can car pool or convoy to RMAF, der latest is 5.05 am. Pls be punctual, after 5.05 you have to eat urself oredi, we are not going to wait for u liao.

And pls be careful wit ur belonging, there has been many case on car theft. Don't bring so much money out or credit card, whenever there is event going on, mean there is a business for them.

Short Report
Very bad organise for this time, not enuf of ribbon oso never mention at der starting pts. Make me so kelam kabut to search for it, when I manage to find der ribbon man. He say no more liao, WTF! Then how ah? He oso no idea, so I didnt even want to bother liao. Quickly rush to starting line, n manage to find my pacer Kenny Tan. We start off very well, however after 1.5km Kenny kenot keep up der pace liao. Then it was Stanley suddenly ran beside me, so happy he manage to follow me. But dont know why at one stage Stanley turbo very fast, when I manage to get close to him liao. He slow down liao n never pace-wit-me anymore liao. Then come Khoo Yit Kiat, der most experience runner, he never sayur me. Juz follow tight-tight nia. After der double hill, he tekan turbo liao. I was never able to follow liao, he damn sipeh strong. I only manage to sayur him after der 2nd water station, that shd be around 10k gua.

So hor, der next runner I'm going to sayur is Daniel Tan. Can see but kenot get close, me keep add oil & add oil still kenot get close. After coming out form Tugu Negara, I tot going to finish liao, cinya happy. However look at my watch still below 1 hour, kenot be loh. After I see ppl showing arrow go strait, my heart sank liao. Daniel still in front of me, but I got no oil to add liao. Very der jialat oredi, sumore need to turn up to KTM route lagi lagi TNS. I kenot turbo anymore liao, so drag myself to finish loh. Why they keep changing der route wan, make ppl very der susah nia. Anyway, I cinya enjoy der run, see U in der next event RMAF Half Marathon. *poof*
