LARIAN KARDIO PPUM 2007 IS A MAJOR EVENT TO BE HELD ON 2nd SEPTEMBER 2007!!!
This 5.5 km charity run is to help generate funds for the Cardiology Patient Fund, which will aid under-privileged cardiac patients to pay for potential lifesaving treatments. The event will start at 7 am at Padang Bolasepak A and the entire running track will be within the grounds of Universiti Malaya. The end of the route will move through Rimba Ilmu.
After the race, there will be more happenings carrying on through to noon! There will be a health awareness fair, and events planned include health screening, demonstration of CPR (cardiac resuscitation), poster exhibition, sales and demonstration by sponsors, blood donation drive and food stalls. We will also be conducting a lucky draw and providing stage entertainment courtesy of our hospital band as well as some very special guest stars!
The race and health awareness fair are under the patronage of the Chairman of the PPUM Board of Directors, YBhg. Dato' Mohd Annuar Zaini. DYTM Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah Ibni Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah, the Crown Prince of Perak Darul Ridzuan, and Raja Puan Besar Perak Tuanku Zara have graciously agreed to be the Guests of Honour and officiate the event.
This event was initiated by the Division of Cardiology at UMMC. However, the input and participation extends far beyond that and this is now very much a “whole hospital” event! We hope you will be able to join us on September 2nd 2007 for what should be a great day!
