KC,i think your friend (he is wearing a white shorts with basketball shoes) collapsed at the medal booth. he was carried off by medical officers at around 8.45am.

btw,
saw two kenyans sitting by the roadside, looking dejected and angry. were they beaten up?

This guy is lucky medic team spotted and helped him. One of my friend collapsed due to heat exhaustion by road side about 2km to the finishing line and NO one from organizers were nearby. Another friend had to flag down a cab and took him to nearby clinic. End up we had to call ambulance and send him to Klang gov hospital man. He was unconscious but later was ok when reach hospital. Poor poor organizing system which reminds me of last year. These organizers never learn anything. Sheesh

This is very very sad to read indeed especially comments by TTH.

KOTR 2008 was given very bad reviews by many blogs last year with some runners even stating that they will not be supporting it this year 2009. Example (link): http://pmone.multiply.com/journal/item/750/Report_Shah_Alam_-_Adidas_KOTR_2008.

But sadly...support continues this year. Its NOT when will the organisor ever learn but rather when will participants ever learn.

everyone is responsible for their own wellbeing. we should learn to listen to our body.

organiser may take every steps possible to ensure the smooth running of an event (road race) but participants' wellbeing are solely their own resposibility. it is unfair to blame when one over exert themselves for glory without knowing their own ability.

this year, i would said that kotr has improved especially the water stations and sponging stations which are sufficiently provided along the running route.

hope one will not criticise for the sake of doing so.

Not sure where to post this but I wanted to ask if anyone has heard of National Clicks?

Can someone help me find it?

Overheard some co-workers talking about it all week but didn't have time to ask so I thought I would post it here to see if someone could help me out.

Seems to be getting alot of buzz right now.

Thanks
