I kena SAKIT KERONGKONG on friday nite, damn sui! U know lah, once this virus come, everything oso come together wan. Sakit sini sakit sana lah, try to drink 100 PLUS to get quick cure. Which it's really help. Next morning ok liao a bit,but at nite, the sakit kerongkong come n visit me again. So hentam another 100 PLUS again. Next morning wake up? Ok ok lah. But still, my heart felt not very comfortable lah, the feeling was like got big batu inside the heart.
At 3:30am, me oredi at Bukit Aman car park. Very scary, no humans around. Wait n wait, hmm... where is the Penguin 2? Oredi 4am liao! I'm so worried, afraid they could not wake up in time. So i called Penguin 2 lor, he said ''Be there in 5 mins!!'' then terus hang up. By 4:05am, Penguin 2 arrived. Came along was Penguin 3, so we all terus depart to Bukit Beruntung to fetch Penguin 6.
At 4:30am we oredi reached Bukit Beruntung, bcoz P2 drove like Michale Soo Mah Ker. We sampai in juz half n hour. After picking up P6, off to our journey to Bidor. N again, Soo Mah Ker drive very fast. Tekan minyak at average speed of 150 km/p. So we sampai at 6am, still very dark. But a nice parking space, juz 50m to the starting line. P1, P3 n P6 went for breakfast, but me n Soo Mah Ker sleep inside the car. Bcoz wake up to early, need to cover back some sleep.
6:50am, time to do warm up. Quickly get change, n go for my warm up session. Hv a quick chat wif all the sayur, including Chen, Thomas n Permaisuri Gangster. But still, where is GYPSUM? GYPSUM's bib is A087, me n Chen looking high n low for him. But still, Yee Lek Poh Chee!
7:15am, very Kan Cheong (nervous) oredi. BANG! I terus whack kau-kaul, no give chance to anyone. Start wif a very fast pace, below 4min per km lah. After 1km, my overall position was #15. Manage to get into top 10 after 3km, n pace with Mr. Yap (PJ Half 10km 2nd runner up in veteran category). Pacing all the way to the U-turn point n my time was 28 min 44.53 sec. Rank at position #8.
After the U-turn point, everyone start to increase pace liao. Suddenly i was 50m behind Mr.Yap, n he oredi like flying rocket. Try to give a chase, but my back fella runner oso closing very near me. So pressure, when i look at his bib. Fullyshit, oohhh, it veteran category ponya. So legar a bit lah. He oso ask me to relax, behind fella still far behind. N we hv a chit chat a bit lah, but every few mins, me will look back. Takut mah, Kiasu wor. Bcoz i want the TROPHY so badly, really push up to my max speed. Until the last kilometer, running out of gas liao. But juz tahan until the finishing line lah, Mr.Yap oso no gas liao. He is oso slowing down. Wit 50m to go. saw Khoo Yit Kiat was juz behind me, suddenly my energy goes up 100%. Then push all the way to finishing line. Coming back time was 25 min 53.97 sec = 54 min 38.50 sec. n position number 8th. Better than last year time n position.
Yippee! Wat a special Birthday gift for me, 1 medal plus 1 trophy. N also my 80th medal collection n total trophy is 12th.
Past Record:
2003 - Dist 12.5km - 54 min 53.95 sec - 9th placing
2004 - Dist 13.5km - 54 min 38.50 sec - 8th placing
Last year joining Bidor Run was - Azwar, Ah Beh, Berry n my wife, but this year none of them were there. Sad very very sad.
Overall: It was a great race, everything has improve so much from last year. Even Pacesetters President oso gave a thumbs-up, wat else do i hv to say ah?
