Furry Friends Farm “Walk for Harmony“ is a fundraising event by our Dr Dog programmes.
On the 1st of May 2010, Animals Asia therapy dogs will join mentally disabled and special children from those organisations served by Dr Dog, as well as the general public, in a “walk for harmony”.
Together, people and dogs alike will walk around Damansara Jaya Town Center i.e. surrounding roads of THE ATRIA,Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, to promote the harmonious bond between humans and animals. Furry Friends Farm invites members of the public to support this worthwhile cause by joining the walk, either as participants or sponsors.
Background
Furry Friends Farm – runs a number of projects, including our innovative animal-therapy programme, Dr Dog. Dr Dogs visited homes for the elderly, disabled centres and orphanages across Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan, spreading unconditional love and warmth to people in need, while highlighting the positive role that companion animals can play in society.

Registration will start at 7 a.m, flag off is at 8.30 a.m. Loads of activities await owners and furkids. Live performance, o.b demo, dog contest, children coloring contest.Registration is RM 15 for 1st dog, and RM 5 for each extra dogs.

Bidor Half Marathon - Men Jr Veteran - 9th Pos!
This picture no longer look so chuan and chiak lat!
I managed to clock in some good mileage and I can see improvement, no cramps, no funny stuff and I actually did the fastest during the first 6km and then at the last 4 km, ie 18, 19, 20 and 21 all averaging 4'30".
I will now do long mileage on weekends while weekdays will be intersperse with speed.
Give me some time as I settled down in my new job (unfortunately finishes at 6pm), then I will be back as one of the oldest fastest PM!

From Bad to Worst - Amkan or not!
Last week oredi amkan CAR Run, this wk hope to bounce back, do and die must pia until lausai. However, illness come at der wrong timing, cinya der geram. Wed oredi got der signal liao, so I oredi slow down all der hardcore activities. However, only 75% recover nia. No choice lah, since is my bread n butter race, do n die der show must go on.
Der 1st 4km I was struggle like kok, nose keep leaking n lung full of phlegm. Each time I breathe, cinya suffer like kok nia. I feel like want to stop and U-turn back, however I didnt do it. After 5km making u-turn, I getting back my rhythm and start to sayur runners. Der good runner I manage to sayur is speedy Fauzan and Sam from Pg, I lost to Sam during last yr Bidor 21km. Manage to turn table on both of them. And der last 1km pia like hell with these very rude vet runners, he push me away during der 5km u-turn mark. Road so wide, why must push me? However I manage to sayur him kau2 lat wit no mercy at der finishing line. But I still lost in my own category, unable to slot into best of 8 runners.
This is der 1st time I unable to get trophy.. sob.. sob.. Reason for my failure, sick at der wrong timing, and start to slow like kura2 pace. And I still kenot believe it, I still able to make Personal Best timing, cinya amkan unbelievable TNS!

However.. however, I manage to get some souvenir from der organizer. Bcoz hor, promoting their event kau-kau lat until lausai. Here how I won der prize..

2010 Marathon’s first Running Clinic to lead the way for the ultimate running experience
Malaysia’s premier sporting event, the Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2010 (SCKLM 2010) will flag off on the 27th of June 2010. With the aim of reaching the 18,000 runner mark this year, the 2010 race is the second for title sponsor, Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad.
As part of its pre-race day activities, organizers will kick start its first Running Clinic this weekend! Taking lead from its hugely successful clinics last year, the not-to-be missed 2010 running clinic series will include some new race preparation tips and materials, ranging from training, nutrition, sporting equipment, amongst others.
Race organizers, Golazo Sdn. Bhd, cordially invites you to attend the Running Clinic, which will be led by the marathon’s official running coach, Mark Williams, accompanied by elite runners, coaches and other specialists. This is also a great opportunity for you to have a dialogue with Mark Williams and Rainer Bieman, the Director of Operations – SCKLM 2010 (Bios of spokesperson and Media Programme attached). Come and support this activity and let’s build a healthier and happier Malaysia as we ‘Run as One’!
