PBM - TNS from Anonymous

i admit though the organiser did a lousy job here...but pls dont put a blame on 10km fun runner & school kids...race like that, everyone are entitle to take part as the categories are there before register..u knew it earlier, isnt it??

i did 10km fun run..it was crowded,so what?? u are saying i'm blocking your way coz u are more professional & deserve more space to run?

if dont like it, dont take part nxt yr...simple as that. otherwise write to the organiser or do more realistic action to siren these organisers.blaming doesnt help to improve the situation. but in contra, carboman, krunner & kops21 - your points are really good. if put into proper writing to proper channel i'm sure it will help them to organise better run next year.

I remember someone wrote an article in Starpaper about using ITS to promote runs some time back, PBIM organiser did take note & used the idea this time...isnt that an achivement too??

No Pain No Gain!
As for myself, I couldn't ask for me. I'm glad to finish der run without DNF, despite der ankle pain on der left leg n arch pain on der right leg. For der first time in my life I hv to wear der ankle support on der both leg, although I don't feel comfortable. But this is der best way to protect my both leg, coz I cinya desperate to run this Penang Bridge Run, One of der best race in ever Penang & Malaysia.

During der run, I was running with fear. Yes fear that der ankle will pain again, after 11km, der ankle starting to give signal liao. Actually hor, I didn't dare to push fast. Juz stay at steady pace nia, I keep praying to my ang kong (God) pls don't let der pain come so fast. After 12km my ankle start to pain liao, cinya amkan hv reduce der pace liao. So hor after 15km water station, stop n do stretching esp der ankle. After that cinya happy liao, no more uphill liao. Start to increase der pace, coz it all downhill oredi liao mah. Start to potong sayur many runners liao, wit signboard shown 2000m to Gelugor. Mean 3km to finish, I'm so kan zheong to finish der race, coz my leg going to kaput liao. Then hor, wit 1.5km to go.. saw Naresh Pm37. I think we oso want to pancit liao, press my turbo n chase him like mad kok. So happy getting nearer n nearer liao, how I wish he wont turn his head n look around, touch wood.. touch wood..he ready do it. Mean both of us pia like to kok to finishing line, I'm not good in sprint finish sumore tired liao from chasing behind. In d end, Naresh won der battle.

After this PBM, there will be temporary no more Half Marathon for me liao. I need to rest my ankle loh, coz my ankle can last only 10km nia. Cinya cinya sad, this coming july got so many half marathon. I really love to run this event, but my leg kenot take it anymore liao.. sob.. sob..

der Coming Race :
01st July - Ipoh Internation Run 21km (No Go)

22nd July - Larian 10k KL
29th July - Melaka Historical Half Marathon (No Go)

Special Announcement For Friends Of The Late Terence Leong - Penguin 6

To all friends of Terence who will be running the Penang Bridge Marathon this coming Sunday, Many of us will be wearing a special bib on top of the official race numbers as a tribute to the late Terence Leong, best known as Penguin 6, on the race morning. This special bib will bear the following words:
In Memory Of Terence Leong Penguin 6

This special bib is to be pinned above the official back bib, which should not be obstructed. The use of permanent marker is a must obviously. The material can be recycled bibs, a piece of white cloth or any material you think can be appropriately used. Personally I'm using a piece of normal paper and then will laminate it with the kitchen shrink wrap on both sides. Even if you're not running the Bridge on June 24th, you can also pin this message up for your training run knowing that you'll be running with the flock of us in Penang. Thank you.

SJ10K - Postponed to 26th August 2007

source from The STAR

THE organisers of the Subang Jaya 10km Run have decided to inject a patriotic touch to this season’s event. As a result, the sixth edition of the run, initially scheduled at the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) Sports Complex in USJ5 on July 1, has been postponed to August 26. According to organising chairman Datuk Lee Hwa Beng, the community-based run has been adopted as a Selangor state event in conjunction with the nation’s 50th Merdeka celebrations. More than 3,500 participants took part in the event last year. “Over the years, this has been an annual family orientated programme dedicated to the community living near the Subang Jaya neighbourhood. But, other communities from all over Selangor will also be joining us this year. We are expecting to attract about 5,000 participants,” said Lee.

3rd Pacemakers Anniversary Run - Entry Closed!

Cinya unbelievably hot! You know or not hor, in less than a month, all der vacant spots have been filled up very fast like goreng pisang. You eaten der famous Penang laksa before or not? You never see empty tables sibo? Like this event lah! From 12 teams, der organizers extended the entries to 15 teams due to overwhelming response. Even so, we reached the 15 quota cinya fast. Now we have runners from all over der state. We oso hv runners from Singapore to join this event.

Last yr we only had 9 teams, this yr we exceeded der record to 16 teams! So this time around we will definitely have super mega battles between fat, skinny, tall, short, tar por (men) and char bor (women). Some teams will also be running topless provided der DBKL permit is approved.
